My mother was supposed to pick up my sister from cheer practice today, approximately half an hour ago. At least that’s what we agreed on last weekend. Now, the thing is, I called my mother to verify and she doesn’t pick up her fucking phone! For all I know my sister is standing out there, somewhere in a dark parking lot waiting for someone to pick her up.

I have become my little sister's mother.
7:00 A.M. : Drive her to school.
1:45 P.M. : Pick her up from school.
2:30 P.M. : Get her lunch.
3:00 P.M. : Drive her to band practice (she plays the trumpet).
5:00 P.M. : Pick her up from band practice.
6:00 P.M. : Drive her to cheer practice.
8:00 P.M. : Pick her up from cheer practice.
And help her with homework somewhere in between all of that.

I have no choice but to hope that when I die, a close family member or dear friend will honour my memory with an ‘in loving memory’ decal sticker for their shitty car’s back window.
